Michael's clinics are dedicated mainly to aesthetic dental implantology including bone and soft tissue grafting, sinus lifting, cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, adult cosmetic braces and non-surgical facial aesthetics.

 

Michael, a member of Mensa, graduated from Glasgow University in 2002 and in the same year published research papers on Oral MRSA in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and the British Dental Journal.

 

In 2007, he gained his MFGDP(UK)RCS post graduate qualification from the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.

 

His interest in dental implantology stemmed from a course held in Harley Street in 2005.  In the same year he decided to complete an intensive implantology course in the influential Medical Faculty in Boston, USA.  He has continued to develop in this field by attending many courses and study groups and in December 2012 he was awarded with a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Dental Implantology from the Postgraduate Dental Institute at the University of Central Lancashire.  He has since been awarded with the Masters level qualification with Merit.

 

He has been lectured by some leading international clinicians in implant dentistry at venues such as the Dentium World Symposium in Moscow, Harvard University and the Branemark Institute in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

Michael trains dentists on a postgraduate level, runs the Scottish Dental Academy Implant course, and lectures across the country and internationally  He also mentors less experienced implant dentists. 

 

Since 2005, Michael has been fully trained and indemnified to perform a wide variety of non surgical facial cosmetic procedures to remove lines and wrinkles including the use of laser, chemical peel, botulinum toxin and dermal fillers.  In 2007, he was invited to join Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group where he treats facial aesthetic patients as well as carrying out smile makeovers and dental implant treatment in their clinics across Scotland. 

 

In 2007, Michael was short-listed for the prestigious "Best Young Dentist in Scotland" award for his achievements in dentistry.
