Implants are an increasingly popular method of replacing missing teeth. We can now replace failed teeth without having to resort to dentures or bridges.

A titanium post is placed in the jaw bone to support a replacement tooth and this acts like the root of a natural tooth. Implant treatment commonly has two stages. First, the implant is placed in the jaw. When the jaw has healed and the implant integrated, replacement teeth are attached to the implant. Implants can also be used to support implant bridges or dentures.
